I am back from the NYC + Italian adventures. Finally home after a month away. It feels GOOOD but weird.
I am coming with lots of memories and the best drawing on my hand...

Recipe Look is open - Calling for entries !

"Recipe Look" is an old project idea finally out of the drawer.
It was born from the combination of 2 brains, one of which is obsessed by food, the other by putting eyes on everything.
CALL FOR ENTRIES ! (no age limit)
The principle is easy, you have to draw your recipe and make it as visual as possible. Minimal writing. You then can submit your art to us and we will put it up on the "Recipe Look" blog.

Recipe Look will hopefully become a BOOK in the future, so take your best pencil and be inspired.

Puff & Flocking Milan, april 2009

Milan this year was different than the other years,
A year ago we were students, now we are Puff & Flock, (not sure what we are but we definitely are...)
but we were showing in a great place with Designersblock.

consultancy work

Recently I finished a work that just made me think I was the luckiest person in the world for some type of free lance work... Mood boards and proposing ideas for a very famous museum in London, for kids... you probably guessed... shhhhhhh !

Metuo's real thing !

After all this time and for good, Metuo's first album, "Toy Shop",

IS FINALLY OUT !!! :) (since April 6th)...
as a real CD production.
I am going to receive it very soon and will take some picts to show ! but here is the cover ! (above) I designed the graphics for the CD and the case, there is also a little book inside with colours, drawings and lyrics, made on sustainable hemp paper.
The first extract, "subway", will have a video clip soon as well, made by the great visual artist Leonardo Betti. We are also going to work together on a video for the song Animal Rainbows... soon... I am vey much looking forward to it.

Florence... Toys... soon...

Finally some news.
After Milan in april I will go back to Italy to exhibit again, along with other toy designers,
in this super cool place.
I am super happy and I can't wait to see my friends and to eat all the ice cream... mmhhh

bright stuff forecast

I just had to say it... life is sunny these days :)

Not posting much but lots going on at the moment... Preparing Italy exhibitions (april in milan, may in Florence... more soon here) and maybe... to show some work in NYC at the ICCF fair as well with the girls in May... Woo hoo
Also... job hunt, interviews, having no clue what the hell I'm going to do next :)
Awesome adventures, strangely feels nice.

Wisp Whispers at the MOC by us ! : photos

The life and death of the WISP WHISPERS monster.... occurred last thursday evening at the Museum of Childhood in London, where took place an evening of performances and interactive installations only for the night.
Puff & Flock (Amelie Labarthe, Jenny Leary, Elisabeth Buecher), Common Ground Design (Bruno Taylor, Vincenzo di Maria) and Marilou Rabourdin, Miguel Guzman, Adriana Munoz joint forces to make that stuff happen in only 3 hours on the day... As a result, a candy looking floating monster that speaks to you through his tongue and balloon furniture to lounge on. Before we killed it (it had to disappear on the night) we took it for a walk parade to Bethnal green tube and back. It's amazing how balloons can make people happy.
It was a big success and so much fun, bringing together kids and grown ups. No budget, but a lot of will, colours, and playful energy.

One of my best moment in London... Thank you everyone !

Biomimicry and textiles : great work by my students :)

I would like to show here some absolutely great work by my group of students in MA Textile Futures year 1 at CSM... They worked as a team of 9 people, under my supervision, like a trend agency to produce inspiring imagery linked to Biomimicry (taking inspiration from nature's principles to inject into design solutions and surfaces). This is only an extract from the great work they produced. Most of them had never done any video work before... :
