moving out the other
time for new adventures, 2 feet yet many roads...
This is the end of this blog, thank you dear friends for reading and looking.
You will be able to follow me on the following paths from now on,
- puff and flock blog, of course, my textile design collective
- but also recipe look, the online visual recipe blog where everyone can take part
- Metuo's upcoming website... Have a look at the intro
and most of all, for my personal research and projects I decided to move in with Matteo (John Smth) in our new home,
- the smths lab-log where I will continue to post my projects and ideas the same way as I used to do here, but in a shared vision.

moving in >one way
We recently had a perfect studio warming party with Puff&Flock mates and Common Ground Design guys in our new studio in London Fields. There should be other occasions to party in there, it s just a wonderful place to work and also to have friends over. I have not been much on the blog lately, the reason for that is big life changes and the feeling I have many things to share but in other contexts. The next post will reveal the next step. I can't believe how much I've worked in 3 and a half year to get to a place like now, and to be honest I feel really blessed. Hard work can pay out (going along with luck). Until the end of 2010, hard work in London, and then who knows?

jewellery strikes back
I usually am not so fond of jewellery, too much blinging in a way I don't like... so... I decided to just make the kind of stuff I like and see where that goes. A Smth ongoing project also ! :)
here is the latest creation : a square brooch... an inspiration piece for the character sofa I am working on (see previous moodboard posts)

eye candy

I like special BUTTONS :)
my friend works in a haberdashery in London, and every time I go it's better than the candy shop.
This time I got these great vintage buttons for almost nothing (thank you my friend)

I quite like the "disco gramma" ones. Oh dear, I am like a kid... Woooooooooo

Ercol "school" trip
Ok school is over but it felt just like that. Road trip to Wycombe !
Jen had made chocolate muffins (because at Puff & Flock we are hopeless fat lumps !), we got to see the countryside (so exotic for us, we are desperately urban) and had to stop in front of this sweets shop with hysterical girlie screams...
More seriously...
We went to present some ideas and concepts to Ercol, an English emblematic furniture company.
Amazingly nice and welcoming people as well as a truely inspiring visit !

Jewellery project - "Playwellery"

The very nice bubble characters are "Bubble Gum" by Bubi Au Yeung for Crazy Label
We randomly found the bubbles in a London art toys shop,
and realized the font they used for the packaging was somalove made by John Smth...
What a coincidence :)
Canary Wharf Windows - Puff & Flock stuff
Right... Another move by Puff & Flock to get a bit of exposure.
2 moods that were a nice challenge to put together. We used only our work and came up with 2 different worlds.
For a month you'll be able to see our stuff in 2 shop windows in Canary Wharf Gallery where apparently 1 million people transit each month. Impressive number.

Work in Progress - "Just Landed"
Today we designed the shape of the main bit
made the battle plan of how to print on and where (we only have 2 days to print... aaaaaaaaaaa)
But we are HAPPY... End is far but there is light at the end of the tunnel

Puff and Flock summer crit
We still meet up to give each other advice (and have dinner, of course)
Elisabeth and I were really ashamed of our "Godzilla" inflatable thinggy... We had NO idea the result would look more like an insect (colours apart). We spoke about the idea of Glamorous inflatable back in the reearch phase... yeh right... This wa just a shape sampling, but thank god we are changing the shape direction :) for something more geometric

shit... it's like almost mid august... really???
HOW??
My head was so not in the summer mood that I even forgot that all my summer clothes were still at my parents' house in France. (I was so busy this year, and poor.. that didn t go to see them since like Christmas) Where has the time flown? Now I just wanted to show my mom' special Mary Poppins powers... she managed to send me by post in this tiny box most of what I need for my trip to Italy (where it's 45 degres, not like London where I am dressing like I would do in november) Now I can go to the sea side with a bathing suit (kind of) and appropriate clothing.

If you knew how fast we make things happen with this project (still Elisabeth and I)... and though it seems like it is taking forever and a lot of time and energy. Eventualy it gets closer and closer to the goal. The fabric material is amazing. September is nearer and nearer...
smells like holiday... SOOON
According to google, this is where I'm going on the 17th of this month... Calabria sea side, Italy, for 8 days. This is a half work half holiday break that I need because I've worked (no kidding) 7 days a week all summer with no break, and I was kindly invited to spend a few days there. How is it possible to say no? On top of that, there are no tourists there and lots of empty wild spaces that I'll get to discover with my local very special guide. uuuuuuuuuu
I did ask if this was photoshopped because the colour of the water doesn't seem real and I never saw such a thing with my own real eyes.
it s not. Well... I can only go and see by myself.
